New Year Updates 2024
Happy New Year!
Ok, I know I'm about 3 weeks too late. But better late than never right?
2023 was the busiest year I've seen and I'm so grateful to every one of you for keeping me (and my cohorts) busy doing what we love. If you're curious what else I've been up to, check out my blog posts (https://www.breezebodywork.com/blog) , although time doesn't always allow for frequent updates.
Since my last blog update, I've been working on creating and hosting some new classes in 2024. Keep an eye out for classes in yarn work, different massage crafts like DIY scrubs and lotions, anatomy forward continuing education, and other fun classes open to the public and massage therapists! Information for this will be available on my website under Education.
New Year New Me? No thank you, New Year, peaceful Bre. New Year's resolutions are old news. What are your PLANS for 2024?
Mine are to be more consistent, to improve my lifestyle by removing the pressure I put on myself. What are you planning for 2024?
My holidays were pretty quiet, as we prepared to celebrate my sister's marriage in Seaside, Oregon. Above, you can see us having a grand time. This coincidentally is also the moment I lost my voice for the entirety of 2024 so far. This cold has been a real one. Stay safe out there!
Featured Service: Heated River Stone Massage
With the cold weather, hot stone massages are just the thing you need!
Stone Massage is an ancient form of therapeutic massage using heated smooth stones as extensions of the hand. Smooth river stones are heated to a warm bath temperature then glided with firm pressure along the body. Stone therapy can bring deep tissue release and alignment between body, mind and spirit. It’s been said that receiving one good hot stone massage has the relaxation equivalent of FOUR Swedish massages. Many a snore has been heard as we incorporate hot stones into a Breeze Massage.
Events
Starting in the summer, I'll be setting up at a few of my favorite festivals. So keep your eyes open for an opportunity to support other solo preneurs, and maybe get that quick massage your sister or wife refuses to schedule for herself.
Due to poor attendance, I'm considering forgoing the Mother's Day Brunch and massages. If this news is devastating and you'd like to provide useful feedback to make it a success, I'd love to chat.
If you're throwing a party or getting a group together, don't forget about the most relaxing guest you can ever have. We set up a massage chair or table allow you to relax without leaving your venue. Workplace massage promotes productivity and workplace satisfaction. Show them you care more than pizza by providing licensed, trained, insured bodyworkers at your office parties or employee appreciation days!
It's cold outside and the snow is falling!
We want to stay safe and dry. Make sure you're bundling up, wearing something to keep your neck and hands warm, and shoes with a good grip!
Shoveling snow and slipping on the ice are the # 1 reason people schedule last minute appointments in the winter, so remember to stay safe and lift with your legs!
Makes me Sick
Along with this wintery mix, there's a wicked illness going around. Thank you again for staying home when you are under the weather. This is a reminder that while you might think a massage would feel good after coughing and sneezing, contagious diseases not only put yourself and others at risk of spreading the illness, you can actually cause your symptoms to worsen.
Masking
While the federal mask mandate has been lifted for several years, my personal policy on masking has not changed since 2021. I will continue to wear a mask for one on one appointments, outdoor events I may choose not to wear a mask depending on CDC guidelines. Masking is optional for each recipient. Other practitioners for contracted events may or may not be able to wear a mask, so please discuss with us your preferences before your scheduled service. Regardless of masking, sanitation before and after each service will still be upheld.
Late Cancelation/ No Show
I wanted to remind everyone of the cancellation policy. Unexpected circumstances do arise, so please communicate with your therapist if you're unable to keep your appointment. Failure to do so in a timely manner may result in a late cancellation fee.
Price Updates?
I firmly believe that January is the worst time of year to raise prices. Pricing for all services will remain the same until further notice.
The most recent price increase occurred on on April 22, 2022. Travel fees are subject to change based on fuel prices.
Sporadic Updates
Every time I write an update email, I'm so glad I did. Whether you're the only one who reads it, I'm glad I was able to share. I tell myself I'll do these regularly, but with my promise to remain more peaceful, I can just say I'll do them when I can.
Here's to reduced stress and more comfort in 2024!
