Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a light, very gently compressive technique that encourages the body’s re-uptake of lymphatic fluid.

MLD is beneficial for those suffering from insomnia, fluid buildup, allergies, chronic inflammation, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and many more conditions. This technique is highly beneficial post -surgery to aid in healing, can help manage lymphedema, and aide in “de-puffing”.

MLD is different from “massage” as muscles are not addressed and the pressure is light. It does not have the same compression or kneading one expects in a traditional massage. Similarly, the client is on a table, under a sheet, disrobed.

At this location, MLD can be performed on intact lymphatic systems, if lymph nodes have been removed in one or several locations below the neck, and on mild to moderately complicated cases.
